Analyst: FRX May be 15-20% Undervalued
Forest Laboratories, Inc. (FRX, Free Analysis ), a branded and generic ethical drug manufacturer, has seen its shares steadily rise over the past few days, but one analyst still believes the stock is undervalued. After attending a conference, Cowen believes that its DAXUS drug is likely to receive approval in 2011 and believes that the stock is 15-20% undervalued.
Despite the bullish sentiment, some analysts are quick to point out that the company will lose $2.3 billion of its $4.2 billion in early sales when its patent for Lexapro expires. As a result, management has been quickly trying to bring other drugs to market with mixed success. However, it is worth noting that the stock generates significant cash flow and is 35% cash.

Charmaine Dragun took risky mix of antidepressants before killing herself
08.03.10
He said that she had a lot of help and support from her partner, Simon Struthers, her family and friends.
"Despite all of that, Charmaine decided to go to The Gap on that Friday afternoon and, at the cliff, she decided to take one step forward rather than one step back."
"Why she took the step forward is something we cannot know . . . (but) Charmaine was not stopped, she did not change her mind and she did die."
In October 2007 Ms Dragun began reducing her dose of the drug Effexor and started on a new medication, Lexapro. Friends described her behaviour at that time as "disturbing" and "out of character".
Mr Hirsch said Ms Dragun had been diagnosed with depression and anxiety in 1996 but there were indications she may have been suffering from bipolar disorder.
If this diagnosis had been made, then she should not have been on Effexor.
Suicide is a known risk of depression and patients of Effexor should be monitored closely at the beginning of a course of treatment or a change in dose.

Amanda Seyfried Is a Woman We Love

When it rains in L.A., no one blames anyone for anything. The sultry and gentle compact with nature is broken then, and everyone tries to just get by. So now that it's been raining for five days, why worry that Amanda Seyfried looks a bit housebound, wearing a mopsy little hoodie, too-loose sweatpants, and a pair of underused running shoes? Hood up, zipped up, purse clamped to her side like a knitting bag, she peers from inside the getup, gives a tick of a smile. "It's you," she says, over the hiss of rain on the skin of the parking lot, offering her hand, small and cool as a teaspoon. Just then, she allows a glimpse of her eyes, or she gives it. Or you steal it. Who can say? The eyes demand an adjective; they beg for a simile.
In those first moments outside the crowded gourmet shop in the Hollywood Hills, Seyfried says nothing particular. It's not that she has nothing to say. She can rev up the chatter engine when she wants to. It's just that the plan had been to sit
